11TEX Course DescriptionStudents will use garment construction techniques to design and make their own original designs for clothing and other textile products. As part of this they will learn to use sewing machines and textile tools confidently and safely. Students will work on a number of different projects during the year. Assessments will be tailored to each student’s ability and interests, using a combination of achievement and unit standards.

Students will complete three assessments from the following list based on their individual preference totaling to 16 credits.
Textile Process Operator, Conservator, Laundry Worker/Dry-cleaner, Importer/Exporter, Printer, Garment Technician, Animator/Digital Artist, Business Analyst, Software Developer, Patternmaker, Architect, Architectural Technician, Art Director (Film, Television or Stage), Artist, Tailor/Dressmaker, Boat Builder, Naval Architect, Urban/Regional Planner, Cutter, Fashion Designer, Sewing Machinist, Trainer, Graphic Designer, Interior Designer
Contributions and Equipment/StationeryEvery endeavor has been made to keep costs to a minimum but please note that a subsidised course costs fee of $50 will be levied to cover costs of take home materials.
