Social Change

Course Description

This course will focus on how we can engage in and participate within our local and national environments and to interact with the different cultures within them. Understanding our responsibilities as human beings will help us to be able to exercise and stand up for our rights as global citizens. This will use skills and concepts from social studies, religious studies and psychology.

We will cover global contexts such as the #metoo movement as well as Aotearoa New Zealand specific contexts such as law changes and NZ based social movements.

Students will be able to understand the world they live in and provide them with the skills and knowledge to play their part in a changing society as informed, confident and responsible citizens.
