10 Dance
Course Description
Dance is the study of human movement through creative expression. Students will learn a variety of dance styles, choreograph group dances, and research dance genres and choreographers. Taking Dance is a unique opportunity to develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills and to work collaboratively with others. As the majority of this course is practical, it is an expectation that you are to participate in movement every session and bring PE gear to dance in. Whether you’re a beginner or already love to dance, this course will help you grow your skills and try something new. It leads on to further study of Dance at NCEA levels 1, 2 and 3.
